"We are now celebrating Easwaramma Day. Who is Easwaramma? She is the mother of Easwara. Mother is given the utmost importance in human life."

"Worship the mother as God, the father as God, the preceptor as God and the guest as God. It is the mother who fosters you and nourishes you."

"It is because of the noble feelings of the mothers that sons become virtuous, intelligent, attain exalted positions and earn name and fame. The Vedas declare: Mathru Devo Bhava, Pithru Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava, Atithi Devo Bhava."

"Children of immortality, Live with your heads held high, your hearts open to love, your spirits soaring, and believe in yourself."

Dear brothers and sisters,

A loving Sai Ram to you!

May Swami guide all of us in serving Him.

It's our pleasure to announce Easwaramma Day Mini-Retreat 2009!

Traditionally, these mini-retreats, held annually, bring together SSE children of Sai centers of Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. But other centers are welcome to join in.

The objectives of this mini-retreat, in general, are:

* Creating a day fully dedicated to the cause of Sai's children (SSE students)
* Conducting the day in way that Swami's Presence and His love may be experienced by all
* Giving opportunity to children to perform in front of larger audience, thus helping in developing their confidence further
* Allowing children to watch students from other centers and learn from one another
* Having certain off-stage activities for children that will be both educational and recreational
* Giving opportunity to children to create a vibrant bhajan session
* Giving opportunity to SSE children to mingle with their peers from other centers
* Giving SSE teachers opportunity to mix with their peers from other centers and share inspirations
* Designing the content of the program in a way that adults will also find the day interesting and rewarding.

All are welcome to attend.

Welcome to Detroit!
