Happy New Year!

Take-everything that happens to you as the Gift of Grace. Of course, on your path, you must act with all the skill and devotion you are capable of. Do this with as much sincerity as you worship God. Then, leave the result to the All-powerful, All-knowing, .All-merciful God. Let whatever ensues ensue! Why do you hold yourself responsible? He prompted it, He got it done, through you; He will give whatever result He feels He must!

In everything you do, use all the strength and talent with which you are endowed, speaking and acting truthfully. At first, you might fail in this and you might encounter difficulties and sufferings. But ultimately, you are bound to succeed and achieve victory and Bliss. Each one of you should pay constant attention to your habits and to the traits of your character. Always remember the maxim, Sathyameva Jayate (Truth alone Triumphs). Through your behavior and your way of life, you can realize the Truth and Paramathma (the Eternal Self).

The new year does not bring anything new with it. The day when fresh and sacred thoughts originate in your heart is the real new year day. As you all consider this day as new year day and welcome it with enthusiasm, I bless you all so that you may cultivate fresh, sacred and ideal feelings. I desire that you share with others all that you consider as good. I want you to lead a peaceful and blissful life and become role models for the rest of the country.
